Golden Gate Bridge and Coit Tower, San Francisco

Ah, San Francisco… there’s nothing like this city. I’m truly in love with it. I’ve been there three or four times as part of my business trips from Cisco, including some magical weekends, and I always returned wanting more. It’s precisely because of this that I have a slight pang of regret about no longer working in high-tech – if I did, I would surely find some excuse to travel there again. Maybe it’s really time I pay for a plane ticket myself… someday.

This panorama, despite being relatively miniature compared to my other works, manages to capture part of San Francisco’s charm, particularly its famous Golden Gate Bridge. I know this is quite a banal and well-photographed viewpoint, where many people stop and photograph from exactly the same spot. But still, I feel a personal connection to this panorama. It captured something unique for me – perhaps it’s the light, perhaps it’s the atmosphere of that day.

That’s why I decided to give it a place of honor. I enlarged it with 20×30 cm photographs and framed it. I feel it deserves this, despite everything. It may not be the most complex or rare panorama I’ve created, but it reminds me why I love this city so much, and every time I look at it, I feel like returning there, standing again at that same point, and enjoying the magnificent view that unfolds before me.

Another beloved memory from San Francisco is the path to Telegraph Hill, atop which stands Coit Tower. This is a unique experience that reminds one of San Francisco’s distinctive character. The hill itself is located in the heart of the city, and the path to it offers a level and pleasant walking route. Walkers along the way have an interesting experience, seeing buildings leaning to their sides and trees bending against the wind.

Well, seriously… the streets surrounding Telegraph Hill are a masterpiece of varying slopes. With each step, more and more charming views are revealed, reminding us why San Francisco is one of the most beautiful and diverse cities in the United States.

Coit Tower peeking in the background serves as the perfect conclusion to the route and stands as one of the city’s distinctive landmarks. The tower was built in 1933 and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire city and surroundings. If you’re looking for a pleasant, quiet, and charming way to reach it, the path to Telegraph Hill is an excellent choice.

And to conclude, a song. Actually two.
