The Ecological Park, Hod HaSharon
One beautiful and bright Saturday we went for a trip to Hod HaSharon. The ecological park opened there not long ago and I wanted to see it, and indeed I was not disappointed. The fresh air, the blue skies clear of clouds, the spectacular view of the lake, the bridge crossing over it, and the green and beautiful waste mountain rising above – each of these elements attracts the eye in its unique way, and the panorama captures all this beauty in one image.
The observatory and the bridges leading to it provided an excellent vantage point over the lake and surroundings. The water was calm, with hardly any movement, and the reflection of the vegetation and nearby buildings created a perfect image in the water. Along the bridge I met other people enjoying the beautiful day, some walking peacefully, others also photographing the scenery. The sun illuminated the water and created a beautiful reflection on the lake’s surface.
Just beyond the lake, there is a green and impressive mountain. This is a waste mountain that has become over the years a green and beautiful park. One can only marvel at nature’s ability to recover and create beauty from unexpected places. This mountain symbolizes for me the hope and ability of nature to renew itself, and it provides an interesting contrast to the urban landscape surrounding it. One day I will return to the park and this time also climb the mountain and photograph the view from above, an impressive vista over Gush Dan and the Sharon.
