      Kushi Beach in Michmoret is one of our favorite beaches. There’s something relaxed and effortless about it. It’s free, quiet, and relatively enclosed by rocks \u2013 which creates a natural sense of protection from the open Sea. It’s not a declared beach, but there’s really not much need: the water is calm most of the time, and the atmosphere is family-friendly and pleasant. In addition, there is a snack bar nearby, so if you fancy something cold or a small snack, you don’t have to go far. <\/p>\n

      I photographed the panorama from the beach during a bicycle trip that started from Neve Itamar. I wanted to find the path that leads to Alexander stream, but I’m not sure I got there. The path I found was not particularly paved \u2013 lots of bumps and vibrations \u2013 which added a bit of a challenge to the ride. After wandering around the trails a bit, I continued from there towards Michmoret, where I met Lilach, the children, the grandmother, and a few more families of friends who had settled on the sand. <\/p>\n

      On the way back, I decided to try the beach route. It was a choice that led me to a small adventure: to bypass the “Mevo’ot Yam” school, I had to go down to the water line itself, ride on the beach \u2013 including dipping the bicycle wheels, up to the height of the handlebars, in the Sea water. But after that section, the ride became much smoother and more pleasant until I reached Sironit Beach. And of course, when I got home, I made sure to take care of the bicycle properly: I washed it with fresh water, dried it, and lubricated the chain, so that no trace of the salty journey would remain. <\/p>\n

      A few years later I arrived again to the area of the “Mevo’ot Yam” school, this time from the right direction. Nurit Berchia invited me to an open day dedicated to art. There, among other things, they were engaged in gluing mosaics on pottery jugs. It was interesting to see all the activity \u2013 adults and children together, sitting around tables full of colorful mosaic stones, glue, jugs in various stages of work. Beyond that, it was clear that there is a strong emphasis on art in general at the school, which left a very positive impression.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Of course, I didn’t miss the opportunity to go up on the pier and photograph the marina of Michmoret, where trainees were also seen rowing in kayaks and surfing on windsurfing boards. Some of them rowed in pairs, advancing slowly but determinedly between the anchored boats, and others stood on windsurfing boards, practicing catching the direction of the wind and maintaining balance. The Sea was calm, the boats swayed slowly, and the skies were almost perfect for photography \u2013 a classic panorama came out, just as I wanted. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
