About
Hello, I am Moti Pinhassi, an urban and regional planner from Netanya. For many years, I have been active in the field of sustainable transportation and engaged in fascinating and diverse transportation issues. In addition, I am also a photographic artist creating spectacular handmade panoramas.
For over 25 years, I have been creating handmade panoramas, without the use of Photoshop or other digital means. Each panorama is composed of individual printed images, which are manually cut and glued to create a large collage. The result is unique, interesting, and spectacular panoramic images, displaying a 360-degree view with a straight horizon in a single glance, something that cannot be seen with the eye.
Over the years, I have created hundreds of panoramas with a wide range of landscapes of various types – sea, urban, nature, desert, night, winter, sunsets, etc. – from all over the country and also a bit from abroad. The images can be ordered in any size, and they are suitable for any office or home. The images are printed on high-quality photographic paper, and at the end of the process, the panorama undergoes lamination in an oven to preserve it and allow cleaning with a damp cloth.
I am committed to providing excellent service and creating photos that fit the client’s needs and requests, according to the desired atmosphere. The spectacular panoramas manage to convey a sense of space and beauty in every space in which they are placed, and every panorama I create is a unique work of art suitable for anyone who appreciates art and quality photography.
So far, briefly… More questions? Please:
What is the process of creating a handmade panorama?
The location: Most importantly, location, location, location. I love places that go outside the box of the normal landscape we see every day. Whether it’s up high – the top of a tower, to the side – a pier, or some other kind of observation point.
When I arrive at a place, I look and see where the view is open, which element I would like to be in the center of the panorama, and which element I would like to be on the sides of the panorama – and when it comes to 360 degrees, it will appear twice.
The photography: I usually turn 360 degrees myself at the same point, taking pictures with overlaps of about a third to half a picture, also taking care of pictures that will complete the background (sky, ground). Sometimes, if it is a wide roof, I turn around the perimeter of the building or place.
I like to photograph pleasant things for the panorama, such as birds, buses, boats, and also people. And it’s especially nice that when they move, they appear in the panorama several times. Sometimes I do this intentionally in advance when shooting, and sometimes I only discover it when I assemble the panorama.
Besides the panorama photos, I’m also taking some interesting photos, to add at the end of the post.
Connecting the images: My studio is the house, specifically the dining table that I expand as if preparing for Passover 😆 I scatter all the individual images on the table, placing each one in its area. There are many images for each area, and I find the image that is most suitable or interesting for the area and connect its neighbors to it. If necessary, I cut with scissors or cut with a utility knife. I glue the images to each other with small double-sided adhesive stickers.
An average panorama consists of twenty to thirty images, which are selected from fifty to a hundred images and sometimes more. The images that are not selected for the panorama are thrown into the recycling bin, but I save all the files.
The whole process takes some good few hours. Here’s a video from a live broadcast I made on Facebook, don’t worry, it’s summarized for less then a minute:
And what is the process of preparing a huge panorama for the client?
For the clients, I recreate panoramas that I have already prepared, this time in a big way, and preferably huge. I will be happy to come to you, measure the intended wall, photograph it and prepare a simulation and suggestions for a number of options.
(Almost) on every page on the right side next to the accompanying images, under the map, there is a slider with size suggestions. After the size is selected, I print the images at a photo shop (Photo Royal Digital) on high-quality photographic paper, of course only those that I chose for the panorama when I prepared it. After I connect them to each other, I coat the panorama with lamination and take it to the gluing factory (A.S. Silver in Hadera), where they crush it in a special oven. There I also buy sticky Kapas on which I stick the new panorama, and it is ready to reach the customer, for gluing to the wall or hanging.
Note that this process is also handmade, so it is very possible that there will be a slight difference in the final dimensions, and also in the order of the photos in the panorama (i.e. how one image is glued to the other) or in the cutting of the images.
How can the panoramic photo book serve as a unique gift for businesses?
A unique and unforgettable gift for businesses: a book of panoramic images of our country’s landscapes
Give your customers or special delegations a moving and magnificent gift – the book “A View to the Holy Land” with beautiful panoramic images showcasing the spectacular landscapes of Israel from all over the country. Each page in the book is a work of art in itself, with stunning panoramic images of the most well-known and beloved places in the Holy Land.
Alongside the images, you will find verses from the Bible and classic Hebrew songs that add a deep and meaningful touch to every page. The texts appear in three languages: Hebrew, English, and French, making the book a perfect gift for a variety of audiences and cultural backgrounds.
To make the gift even more personal and special, you can produce the book on behalf of your business, and include a personal “double pager” in it that includes a greeting, a logo on the cover, and any marketing element you want.
This is not just a book – it is a complete experience of landscapes, culture, and tradition, that will leave a deep and unforgettable impression on every recipient. Turn every gift into something extraordinary and give the perfect gift that tells the story of our beautiful country.

Is it possible to order a custom handmade panoramic photo?
Absolutely, you can order a handmade panoramic image customized to your specifications. You can choose the landscape, size, and details you would like to include in your panoramic image. If you request, I will take care to cover, remove, or plant certain details in the panorama, I am open to suggestions! And I would be very happy if you send me to some place I have not been to yet to photograph there.
Is it possible to frame the panoramas?
Panoramas up to about one and a half meters wide can be framed with glass. Up to two and a half meters wide can be framed with lamination. Beyond that it is not possible, I tried to find solutions but I did not succeed, if you have an idea I would be happy to hear!
What camera do you use?
I’m not a photographer, I’m photograph.
That is, I am not a professional photographer. I only shoot in automatic, I do not adjust aperture and exposures, I do not change lenses. For many years I was loyal to the PowerShot SX series of Canon, the upper limit of simple cameras that are not DSLR. I replaced five cameras from this excellent series, which has an adjustable screen, and especially an amazing optical zoom that in the last SX60 camera reached 65x. This is equivalent to almost one and a half meters of a “regular” lens, but as I said, I do not change lenses.
For years I would walk around, including during work at the municipality (and I walked around a lot in the city as part of my job) with a camera around my neck. However, the years passed and the technology improved, and in recent years I have been shooting a lot with my mobile phone (today – Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro). For daytime photos it is excellent, and for nighttime photos it is even better than the Canon. At least with the knowledge that I do not have. But for big trips I do take the camera, mainly out of nostalgia for the zoom, the screen and the half-press, although sometimes the advantages of shooting on the phone outweigh the disadvantages.
Why don't you use software to create a panorama?
I know there are programs that make panoramas automatically, both on the computer and on the phone. You upload the images and within a minute you have a perfect panorama.
But that’s not what I do. Computerized panoramas often have a curvature because the computer connects the images and bends them so that they connect. I’m don’t bend, I break. That’s exactly why you can see in my panoramas 360 degrees at a glance with a straight horizon, in computer panoramas the horizon is curved, because our earth is also round.
Besides, I like to create the panoramas, including the creative process, even though it takes a long time. Or because of. If I do it on a computer it won’t be that much fun 😁
You really don't use Photoshop?
Absolutely. I don’t know how to use Photoshop, I don’t have it installed on my computer, and I don’t want to. I have no interest in starting to correct and retouch each of the individual images that make up the panorama. The most I do is press the I’m Feeling Lucky button on Picasa or the auto-enhance button on the phone.
All this except for one and only time: next to the Tower of David there is an antenna that I do not understand who approved to place it there. So when I prepared the book that the panorama of Jaffa Gate appears on its cover, and also inside in the night version, I asked them to remove the antenna in Photoshop.
And one more thing. When I finish a panorama, in order to upload it to the website or to products (book, postcards, and other ideas on the way), I used to scan it. However, this gives exposure differences in the scan that are sometimes noticeable, at least to my eyes with self-criticism; there is dirt that is scanned together with the images that is especially noticeable in night photos; and it is also difficult to connect the scan parts together so that it comes out straight. So what I do is take the images that connect the panorama, and connect them again – this time digitally, once using PowerPoint and today with Canva. But it is still handmade because I imitate exactly what I did before on the living room table, exactly in the same way, and manually. This creates a straight, clean, and much more beautiful image.
How many handmade panoramas have you created to date?
As of October 2025, I have created 269 handmade panoramas, composed of 5,254 individual images, and with a total length of about 275 meters. And this is only from the basic panoramas, from a size of 10*15 cm.
The site is being populated slowly, but even when I finish uploading the old materials, you will not see all the panoramas here, I keep some of them to myself for reasons that are kept with me 🤐
What is your longest panorama?
The longest picture I’ve created so far is the one from Rothschild Boulevard during the 2011 protests. Not 360 but only 180 degrees but actually because of that it is long… Eighteen and a half meters! And that’s from 10*15 size photos.
Since then, it has been displayed in a very respectable hostel, along three floors in the staircase of the Naftali Building – the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University.
What was the first panorama you created?
The first panorama I created and assembled by hand is the one from the roof of the Montparnasse Tower in Paris, in June 1999, more than a quarter of a century ago. Since then I have developed and refined the technique, but I also have a warm spot in my heart for the city and this panorama.
What is the price of a handmade panorama?
The price varies depending on the size requested, the number of individual images that make up the panorama, the materials required beyond the images, and the time required for the work. For each panorama that is for sale (there are a few that I keep for myself) there is a slider under the map, where you can adjust the desired size, and you can see the price for the panorama with lamination on Kapa; if you want additional processing or framing, this involves additional costs. You can contact us to receive a personalized quote according to your needs and requirements.
Of course, if several panoramas are ordered together, a discount will be given accordingly.
